Data Collection & Usage

At Nail Check we collect only what is necessary to deliver and improve the service. This typically includes your email for account verification and the text prompts or messages you provide to our AI tools and The Muse chatbot. We use this data to answer your requests, refine the AI’s responses, personalize features, and improve the overall experience.

Chatbot (The Muse) — What we store

The Muse is our on-site digital concierge. When you use the chat we store the chat transcript (the messages you send and the bot’s responses) so we can provide helpful replies and improve the service.

Retention: Chat transcripts and uploads are retained for up to 12 months unless you request deletion earlier. If you prefer a shorter retention period, please contact us.

Uploads: If you upload images or files via the chat, those files and basic metadata (filename, upload time) will be stored. Do not upload sensitive personal data unless you understand how we handle it.

Security: Chat data is stored with technical and administrative safeguards to limit access to authorized personnel and service providers.

Secure Payments

All paid transactions (for example membership fees) are processed through Stripe. Nail Check never stores your full credit card number on our servers. Payment details are handled by the payment processor’s secure systems.

Third Parties & Hosting

The chatbot may use third-party services (for example Botpress or cloud hosting) to deliver functionality. Transcripts and chat data may be processed or stored by those providers as part of providing the service. If you would like details about a provider’s practices, we will share them on request.

What we do NOT collect

We do not collect or store full payment card information on our servers. Please do not share highly sensitive personal data (for example, social-security numbers or medical records) in the chat.

Your Choices & Rights

Request deletion: Email privacy@nail-check.com with subject Chat Transcript Deletion, include your name, email and approximate chat date/time (or the conversation ID if available). We will confirm receipt and typically process deletions promptly.

Access & corrections: You may request a copy of your chat transcript or request corrections by emailing privacy@nail-check.com.

Children

The Muse and Nail Check services are not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact privacy@nail-check.com and we will take reasonable steps to remove the data.

Changes to this notice

We may update this chatbot and privacy information from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
